I'm your typical Northwest girl. I love hiking, kayaking, fishing, camping, boating in the San Juans, and I absolutely love the beach. I drink too much coffee and don't even mind getting rained on. I grew up on Whidbey Island, and still consider myself an islander even though I've been living on the mainland for over 7 years now. Most of my family still lives on Whidbey, so I try to get up there once a month. Staying connected with them is very important to me. I went to college out in the midwest, have traveled around much of the country and I've spent some time in Europe. (Every artist needs to see Paris!) I am on the shy/quiet side, but that eases once I get to know someone. Too much caffeine, sugar or alcohol will also do the trick. I'm no party girl, but I do love hanging out with my friends at BBQ's, coffeehouses or breweries. I'm grounded in my faith and go to church pretty much every week. They know who to call if they need some design work done. :) I consider myself a bit of a movie buff. Right now I'm diggin' old classic films and British comedies. And I never pass up watching "Spaceballs" or "Overboard" when they're on TV. Lately I've been amusing myself with learning fun new things. I just finished taking a tap dancing class and a fly fishing class (turns out I'm really good at casting!) I think I'd like to try sailing, surfing or golf next.
I'm looking for a down to earth guy who is intelligent, has good character, a good sense of humor and who gravitates to the outdoors. He must be settled into his "adult" life, like I am (done with school, has a career, doesn't live with parents, perhaps has a mortgage or two, etc...) And he must know that a real relationship takes work.
